Geneseo -- R. N. Cole of Annawan, Henry county coroner, arranged to conduct an inquest in the Sweeney funeral home here this afternoon into the death of Doris Jean Wright, 19.

Miss Wright, who lived at 1501 Sixth avenue, Rock Island, and was a waitress in the Mode cafe in that city, lost her life in the Hennepin canal near the former Route 6 bridge south of Colona yesterday afternoon at 12:30.

Her name was reported yesterday as Doris Coopman. She was the daughter of Mrs. Dorothy Coopman of the Rock Island address and Donald Wright of Gardena, Calif.

She was buried in July 1947 in Hampton Township Cemetery, Hampton, Rock Island Co., IL, Findagrave #98450022.
