83, of St. Petersburg, Fla., passed away Friday, August 22, 2008. She came to St. Petersburg in 1968 when her husband, Warren, retired from the U.S. Air Force. She taught 35 years in elementary schools and for the last 22 years at Lynch Elementary. She volunteered for 7 years at Sawgrass Lake Elementary. She belonged to South Pinellas County Retired Educators Association, St. Raphael's Catholic Church and St. Raphael's Guild. Her greatest joy was working with children. She enjoyed all sports and travelling with her husband and children.

She is survived by her two sons, Reed S. Winters and Robert S. Winters; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

A visitation will take place 5 - 7 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2008, at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N.
