She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greensburg. She taught elementary school in Seward. Later, she was employed and retired as a special education teacher by Westmoreland Intermediate Unit.

Martha Jane Mitchell, of Delmont, died Thursday, May 23, 2002, at the age of 94, in William Penn Care Center, Jeannette.

In addition to her parents (Edwin Kerr and Dora McCormick Kerr Hoover), she was preceded in death by her husband.

She was survived by a sister.

Interment in Armagh Cemetery.

FORMER HILLSIDE RESIDENT DEAD

Derry, Pa., March 15.-- Mrs. Elizabeth Piper, widow of the late Geo. Piper, of Hillside, died at the home of her daughter, in Vandergrift, with whom she had been making her home. She had been an invalid for several years. Her husband died about 10 years ago. Mrs. Piper is survived by four children: Mrs. Emma Morrison, of Vandergrift; Frank M. Piper and William Piper, of Hillside; and Samuel B. Piper, a well known business man, of Derry. The remains will be brought to Hillside tomorrow afternoon on the train due there at 1:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held upon the arrival in the Methodist Episcopal church. Interment will follow in the Hillside cemetery.

Bence, daughter of Henry Bence and Mary Emma Cribbs, in 1921. Joseph Ralph Morrison died on 3 July 1974 in Canton, Stark Co., OH.

Jasper LeRoy Morrison was born on 24 October 1928 in Westmoreland Co., PA, WW II draft registration. For some reason, Jasper was listed as "Joseph" Leroy Morrison on the 1930 census.2 He died on 28 March 1980 in Dearborn, Wayne Co., MI.

He was buried on 1 April 1980 in Westview Cemetery, Carrollton, Carroll Co., OH, Findagrave #130587363. Jasper shares a headstone with Donald E. Rutledge, (21 FEB 1942 - ?). No known connection.
Jasper LeRoy Morrison was baptized on 28 April 1929 in First Presbyterian Church, Apollo, Armstrong Co., PA. He lived on 24 October 1946 in Canton, Stark Co., OH.
