Biography

Mary Jane Phillips was born on 21 May 1921 in Washington, Washington Co., PA; her SS Applications and Claims Index record shows 1920, however she was listed by her parents as age 8 on the 1930 census, consistent with a May 1921 birth date. Her headstone inscription shows 1921. She married Kordecki after April 1940. She married William Henry Moore on 19 April 1949 in Washington Co., PA; William was first married to Marjorie McCartney in 1946, Allegheny County, PA. This 1949 marriage apparently also did not survive long -- William's Veteran Compensation Application form, signed 3 MAR 1950, left the "Name of Present Wife" line blank. She married John Keron before January 1960. She died on 25 April 2004.

She was buried in April 2004 in Washington Cemetery, Washington, Washington Co., PA, Findagrave #116088937.

Note: A Karen Kordecki, born about 1944, is listed and pictured in the Washington, Pennsylvania High School yearbook during 1958 - 1962. She was very active in choral ensemble, school newspaper, college club, band, etc. But no further public record of her has been found. She may have been the daughter of Mary Jane Phillips. DLB 2021.
