Son of Samuel Gepheart and Mary KOONTZ both born in Maryland, he married Margaret A. HAWKINS.
His parents Samuel Gebhart born 1806 Maryland and Mary born 1809 Maryland, appear on the 1850 census, Williamsburgh, Guernsey County, Ohio, where Samuel is a blacksmith and with their children Madillen 17, Eliza 15, Nicholas 10, Samuel 3 and Mary 1. Also in household is Wm. H. Goodhart 5, Rebecca Houtze or Koontz* 81 born NJ, Sarah Houtze 51 born MD.
*His mother Mary Koontz...Rebecca could be her mother.
Her sister Sarah Koontz was still living with the family on 1870 census, age 72.
In 1853 a Samuel Gebhart was appointed post master of Batesville.
The family name can be found Gephart, Gebhardt, Gabhart, and Gepheart on the 1860 census, Beaver, Noble County, OH, where Samuel, 53, a blacksmith, and wife Mary have children Nicholas 19, Samuel 13, Mary E 10 and W. H. Goodheart 16.
William H Goodhart is son of his sister Rebecca Ann 'Becky' Gebhart to married John Goodhart, Dec 1844 Guernsey County, OH. She may have died in childbirth.
His father Samuel M Gebhart died Nov 1, 1880, Williamsburgh, age 74 yrs 2 mns 13 days.
The 1900 census indicates he was a miller and they had 7 children, 5 living.
Known children are Thomas, Robert Floyd,
Myrtle May (Mrs. Charles P. Dorn), William A, Howard Chase, Elsey C, Francis M.

Gordon Ray Laridon
MISSOULA – Gordon Ray Laridon, 82, passed away early the morning of Dec. 17, 2019. He was born Dec. 22, 1936 in Hamilton to Nethelene and Gordon Laridon. He married our mom, the love of his life on Nov. 21, 1959. After retiring from the Montana Department of Transportation/Bridge Division, he continued working in construction and as a contract bridge inspector for the BIA. During his lifetime Gordon had many interests. He loved music and taught himself to play several stringed instruments beginning with the banjo. He had a passion for flying and became a private pilot. He was an accomplished artist spending much of his time painting in his home studio. He enjoyed studying history, the company of friends, traveling and especially time with family.
He is survived by his wife, Donna, his children, Ange, Jason (Cathy), Kelley (Jeff), five grandchildren: Crystal, Lance, Lily, Jordan, Kade, one great grandchild, Ahri and his sister Kathy.
A celebration of life was held on his birthday.
