Raymond W. Davault

Raymond W. Davault of Cuba, Mo. was born on January 4, 1919 at Vichy, Mo. to the union of William Jacob Davault and Blanche Davault nee Hutchison and passed away on August 31, 2000 at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo. at the age of 81 years, 7 months and 27 days.

On July 29, 1942 he was united in marriage to Iva Grace Cramer at Cuba, Mo. They were happily married until she preceded him in death on April 22, 1980.

On January 8, 1989 he was united in marriage to Helen Hoffman Beauchamp at Cuba, Mo. They were happily married until she preceded him in death on February 24, 1993.

On September 29, 1941 Raymond entered the Army of the United States of America, served in World War II and was honorably discharged on December 5, 1945.

Raymond was an active member of the Cuba First Baptist Church of Cuba, Mo. He was a member of the Delhi Baptist Church from 1988 to 1998.

Those who survive to morn his passing from this life are his two brothers William R. Davault and Kenneth Davault and wife Sylvia; two nephews Roger Davault and wife Judy and Aubrey Davault and wife Trisha; one niece Rhonda Davault; great nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Raymond was a devoted husband, loving brother, uncle, good friend to all who knew him and will be sadly missed.

Raymond W. Davault was in state at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo. Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 2, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cuba First Baptist Church, Cuba, Mo. with Rev. Bob Houchins and Rev. Charles Ledbetter officiating. Interment was in the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Mo. All arrangements were under the direction of the Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo.



He was buried in September 2000 in Meramec Hills Memorial Lawn, Cuba, Crawford Co., MO, Findagrave #102480645.

Kenneth Norman Davault

Kenneth Norman Davault of Rosebud, Missouri was born in St. Louis on August 12, 1931 to William Jacob and Blanche (Hutchinson) Davault and passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at his residence at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 1 day.

On September 4, 1954 in Rosebud he was united in marriage to Sylvia Luhring.

He was a member of Old Argo Presbyterian Church, Gerald Fire Dept. and a former member of the Gerald Lions Club. He owned and operated the Northside AG and also had worked at Bull Moose Tube.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, William Robert Davault and Raymond W. Davault and by two sisters, Merl Davault and Pearl Davault.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; children, Roger D. Davault and wife Judy of Alton, Illinois and Rhonda K. Davault and special friend Tonya of Rosebud, Missouri; grandchildren, Derrick Davault, Dustin Davault, Kimberly Baker and Ashley Hatton; brother-in-law, Calvin and Naomi Luhring of Rosebud, Missouri; nephew, Aubrey Davault and wife Trish of St. James, Missouri; great nieces, Ashley of Florida and Megan of St. James, Missouri; and by special friends, Gary and Melanie Adkison of Owensville, Missouri.

She was born July 17, 1936, to Ralph and Iva (Hollandsworth) Luhring in Rosebud.

She was united in marriage to Kenneth Davault Sept. 4, 1954, at the Tea Church near Tea.

Sylvia was a member of Boeuff Presbyterian Church in Gerald and Argo Presbyterian Church. She had been manager of Dollar General Store in Owensville for many years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, water skiing, swimming fishing and visiting with friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Iva Luhring; husband, Kenneth Davault; and great-grandchild, Adalyn Marie Smith.

She is survived by her children, Roger Davault of Alton, Ill., Rhonda Davault and Tonya Walters both of Sullivan; brother, Calvin Luhring and wife Naomi of Rosebud; and nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, Dec. 15 from 9-11 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville.

The former Miss Potter wore a white embroidered gown over peau de soie and a pearl-embellished crown to secure her veil. Her bouquet of white carnations encircled orchids.

Mrs. Anthony West, the bride's only attendant, wore a blue frock and held yellow carnations. Mr. Davault, son of Mrs. Loretta Davault, 7641 Flora ave., Maplewood, chose Mr. West for his best man. Ushers were Gordon Nishimoto and Richard Sparks.
