Arthur Snapp Commits Suicide

Arthur Snap, 45 years old, a laborer, committed suicide this morning in his room at 306 Independence Avenue, by drinking carbolic acid. Snapp answered when called by the proprietor of the house at 6 o’clock, but did not come downstairs. At 9 o’clock he was found lying across the bed, with an empty acid bottle beside him.

Snapp came to Kansas City several months ago from Topeka and has been employed regularly. A son, Carl Snapp, 1314 North Tyler street, Topeka, was notified.

The above clipping from the Kansas City Star refers to a son of Madison Snapp, formerly of Valley Falls, and the deceased himself was well known in this county.1

He was buried in July 1912 in Elmwood Cemetery, Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO, Findagrave #122798197.
