Mrs. Anna Morris Wood, 63, died at her home in the Beech Grove neighborhood Sunday at 8:45 P.M. after an illness of one week. Death was caused by pneumonia and complications.
Mrs. Wood was born May 3, 1873, in Lees Creek, the daughter of Peter C. and Jemima Morgan Morris. She was a member of the Lees Creek Christian Church. She had lived in the Beech Grove neighborhood since 1918.
She is survived by two children, Homer M. Wood, who lived with his mother, and Mrs. Lawrence Fields of Columbus; two brothers, A. H. Morris of Mansfield, and C. K. Morris, of Dayton; one sister, Mrs. Grace West, of Wilmington; and five grandchildren. She was the widow of Ira M. Wood, who died in 1923.
Funeral services will be held in the Arthur Funeral Home Wednesday at 2 P.M. with Rev. A. H. Wilson in charge. Interment will be in the Lees Creek cemetery.
The body will remain at the residence until Wednesday at 10:30 A.M.
She was buried in April 1936 in Lees Creek aka Centerville Cemetery, Lees Creek, Clinton Co., OH.
Sarah Ann Morris was also known as "Anna" Morris.
