Almira A. Rutledge, wife of W. H. Rutledge, was born in Ohio, May 10, 1855, departed this life December 23, 1909, aged 54 years, 7 months and 3 days.
She was married to W. H. Rutledge in Illinois, February 23, 1883 [sic] and to this union were born two children, Charles, the eldest and Cora B. Ingle. The family came to Oklahoma in 1889 but moved back to Kansas, where they resided until three years ago when they came to Marshall.
Mrs. Rutledge united with the U. B. church 30 years ago. She leaves a husband, two children, an aged mother, one sister, and four brothers to mourn her departure. The funeral was held at their country home on Christmas day, conducted by Rev. Haskins, of Crescent, and the remains were laid to rest in the Odd Fellows cemetery.

Chas. A. Rutledge Claimed by Death
Crescent Man Came to Columbia in '90
Death took another pioneer last Thursday, May 17, when Charles A. Rutledge, who came to Oklahoma in 1890 with his parents and settled near Columbia, died of pneumonia at his home near Crescent.
Services were held at two o'clock Saturday afternoon at the home, the Rev. C. O. Wiggin officiating. Nephews of Rutledge were bearers, Arthur Jones, Jesse Jones, Francis Holliday, Ralph Moore, Riley Jones and Francis Ingle of Marshall.
"The Old Rugged Cross" and "One By One" were sung by Mrs. Harry Ryland, Mrs. Irvin Fortune, Ernest Cook and John Thornton. Mrs. Henry Simmering accompanied them.
Mr. Rutledge was born in Vermillion county, Ill., February 7, 1877, and was 57 years old at the time of his death.
With his parents he went to Harper county, Kan., in 1879, and came with them here in 1890. In 1897 he was married to Daisy M. Jones.
Surviving him are: his widow, Mrs. Daisy Rutledge; three children, Mrs. Marie McCurdy of McPherson, Kan., Miss Ruth Frazier of Burbank, and Harold Rutledge of Crescent; his father, W. H. Rutledge of Marshall; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Cora Ingle of Marshall; two uncles, Anderson and W. B. Oler [sic] of Harper, Kan., and one aunt, Mrs. Flora Knight of Stroud.
Burial was made in the Crescent cemetery.
He was buried in 1934 in Crescent Cemetery, Logan Co., OK, Findagrave #61758766.
