Dick Ray Kirkbride, age 65, of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday, June 27, 2021, at his residence following a lengthy illness.

Celebration of life services will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2021, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Pastor Joseph Brown officiating. The family will be present to receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Private family interment will take place at a later date. A general memorial has been established. Dick lived most of his life in Washington, Iowa. He worked at Rath Packing Plant for many years and worked at various jobs in the Washington area. He enjoyed drawing.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Kirkbride of Washington, Iowa; son, Robert Kirkbride of Fairfield, Iowa; son, Zachary Kirkbride of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; daughter, Airiana Kirkbride of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; and several grandchildren.

Marie Field of Corvallis peacefully died on June 17, 2014, shortly after a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

She is survived by her husband, Butch; their daughter, Jean, and her partner, Tim, and their children, Michael and Vivian. She also is survived by nephews Jeff, Craig and Gary, niece Cathy, and their families.

She greatly appreciated the care given her pets and other animals by Dr. Bret Hixson at Alpine Animal Hospital. Marie wanted to give heartfelt thanks to Dr. Byram, Laurie and the staff at Philomath Family Medicine for their excellent and personal care over many years, as well as the staff of Benton Hospice Service, Laura, Luke and the on-call nurses, who were very supportive, sympathetic and caring during her last days.

At her request, there will not be a public service.
