Dean Alden Hermance, 83, passed away on Sunday morning, April 2, 2017 at the Oregon Veterans Home in Lebanon.
Dean was born November 12, 1933 in Pell Lake, Walworth County, WS. He was one of four boys born to Howard and Pearl (Schurman) Hermance. He was raised in Pell Lake until 7th grade when Dean and his family moved to Oregon settling in Oak Ridge. Dean attended and graduated from Oak Ridge High School graduating with the Class of 1951.
Dean enlisted into the US Navy in the summer of 1951. He served his country on the USS Cocopa AFT 101, an ocean tug that served in the Pacific Theater. Dean was honorably discharged in 1954 as an Engineman 3rd Class.
He then attended College and attained an Associate’s Degree in Electronics in 1955.
Dean met his future wife, Yolanda Moreno, while working in St Charles. Following a six month courtship they were married on April 18, 1964 in St Charles, IL. Dean's job as a field service tech for Motorola, Radiation and Automatic Electric had his growing family moving throughout the Midwest, Florida and the SW to Arizona. They settled in 1972 to the Portland area here Dean started his TV Business in 1988 B&C TV in Cornelius, OR until his retirement on 2000.
He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, camping and the outdoors. He was also on a bowling team, played golf and cards and liked dancing. He enjoyed spending time with his family traveling and cooking for them.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two siblings; Howard and Gale.
He is survived by his loving wife, Yolanda, three sons and their spouses; Michael and Anyes Hermance of France, Kelly Hermance of Hillsboro, Dean and Amy Hermance of Hillsboro, his brother and sister-in-law; Fulton "Babe" and Carol Hermance of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, four grandchildren; A'jie, Marissa, Grace and Jacob
