Ellen B. Lashua, age 86, of Edwards, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at E.J. Noble Hospital in Gouverneur.

Ellen was born on October 11, 1927 in Russell, to the late Charles and Gertrude (Cook) Law. She attended school in Russell and Edwards.

Ellen married Edward W. Lashua on February 23, 1945 at the Gouverneur Methodist Church with Rev. Ward Crawford officiating. Edward passed away on August 18, 1986. Ellen worked in the cafeteria at Edwards Central School for 19 years retiring in 1983. She has lived in Edwards most of her life.

Surviving are four sons, David E. of Dexter, Elmer R. and Kathy of Harrisville, Larry G. and Linda of Edwards and Edward J. and Susan of Watertown; three daughters, Carol A and Gary Wade of Eden, NC, Joanne M. and Thomas Sawyer of Edwards and Sue and Bob Manzione of Gouverneur; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ellen was predeceased by a daughter, Victoria I. Zeller; and two brothers, Maylon F. Law and Gerald Law; and two grandchildren.

Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 21st at French Funeral Home, Edwards. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22nd at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Edwards.

Victoria "Vicky" I. Zeller, 64, of Edwards, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012 a Kinney Nursing Home in Gouverneur.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 10 -11 a.m. at French Funeral Home, Edwards. The funeral service will follow on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Lay Pastor Art Zehr of the Edwards United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Edwards.

Vicky was born on April 12, 1948 in Gouverneur, to Edward and Ellen (Law) Lashua. She graduated from Edwards Central School in 1966 and went on to attend Canton ATC. She married Larry H. Zeller on July 21, 1968 at the Edwards Methodist Church. Larry passed away on May 9, 2003.

Vicky worked as a therapy aid for the Department of Mental Health in Potsdam for 22 years. She and her husband also owned and operated the Edwards Bottle Redemption Center. She enjoyed watching movies, shopping and being with her pets.

Surviving is her mother, Ellen Lashua of Edwards; two sons and their wives, Jefery S. and Tricia Zeller of Rochester and Mark R. and Angela Zeller of Frankfort, KT; a daughter and her husband, Lori E. and Dean Lichterman of Canton; two grandchildren, Bryan and Alisha Zeller; four brothers, David E. Lashua of Watertown, Elmer R. and Kathy Lashua of Carthage, Larry G. and Linda Lashua of Edwards and Edward J. and Susan Lashua of Watertown; three sisters and their husbands, Carol A. and Gary Wade of Eden NC, Joanne M. and Thomas Sawyer of Edwards and Delores "Sue" and Bob Manzione of Gouverneur; and several nieces and nephews.

Vicky is predeceased by her husband, Larry and her father, Edward Lashua.
