Mrs. Nellie M. McDowell, 64 (sic), widow of Glenn McDowell, died Monday at her home in Norwood following a heart attack. She was a native of Darke county and a resident of the Painter Creek area for many years.

Mrs. McDowell was a member of the West Grove United Church of Christ near Painter Creek in Darke county.

Surviving are two sons, two daughters, 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Benjamin Albert Hathaway, age 83, of Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Cincinnati, passed away on April 6, 2011.

He was born on March 16, 1928, to the late Charles and Esther Hathaway.

Ben is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joanne Hathaway; three sons, Michael (Connie), Brian and Brent Hathaway (Ron Rigby); one granddaughter, Heather Marshall; one brother, Robert (Phyllis) Hathaway; many other family members and good friends.
