STOCKSTILL---Richard Keith Stockstill passed away on January 3, 1993 at Hill Haven Nursing Home after a long illness. The Springfield, OH native had lived in Chatham County for the past ten years. He is survived by his wife, Neva Stockstill of Savannah, GA; four step-sons, Dale M., Larry M., John V. and Gary D. Hardie, all of Savannah, GA. Remembrances may be sent to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. Massey Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Note: Neva (Carpenter)(Hardie) Stockstill (1928-2014), first married to James Earl Hardie (1919-1972), was the mother of the four Hardie boys mentioned in this obituary. She apparently married Richard Stockstill after her husband's death in 1972.
Occupation: Assistant coach, Clemson University (1983.)
