STEVEN R. DESSINGER, 53, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Sunday morning, June 28, 2015 at Springfield Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Springfield on February 25, 1962, the son of John R. and Betty L. (Davis) Dessinger.
He was a 1980 graduate of Springfield North High School and earned an Associate's degree in Applied Business and Hospitality Management from Columbus State. Steve worked as a water mitigation specialist for Code Blue, Springfield. He is Past Master Councilor of the Springfield Order of DeMolay. He loved Florida and resided there for 12 years before moving back to be close to family. Besides his family, his other great loves were the Cincinnati Reds to which he was a season ticket holder, roller coaster enthusiast, vacations in Key West and long-time Barbra Streisand fan.
He was survived by his parents of Springfield, a sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Bob Falkner of Springfield; and a niece, Stephanie Falkner of Columbus. And special friends Rob Peron, Wendy and Jeff Patterson and Rocket, Roy and Mary Roberts, Michelle Norman, Nick and Vicci Lubbers and Daniel Webb (deceased).
Burial was in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield, Ohio.
The family was served by the Littleton and Rue Funeral Home of Springfield, Ohio.

; license issue reported in the 4 MAR 1922 edition of the Dayton Daily News, page 13 (Newspapers.com). It appears that Blanche first married William Henry Kipp (1880 - aft. APR 1950) on 2 SEP 1909 at Montgomery Co., OH county marriage record No. 30943 (Ancestry.com). Divorce record not found -- William was already remarried to a Cora by the January, 1920 federal census, and Blanche remarried using her maiden name. Apparently there were no children from either marriage.
He died after May 1937 in Montgomery Co. (probably), OH; Wilbur's SS Applications and Claims Index record shows he received his SSN in May 1937. Blanche's listing on the 1940 census shows a "W" in the marital status column, although it appears to have a strike-through on it. Wilbur is not found in any online records after 1937. His brother Irvin's 1952 newspaper obituary does not list Wilbur as a survivor. DLB 2024.
