Mila J. Forehand, 86, of Patoka passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care.

She was born on March 15, 1937, the daughter of Raymond and Helen (Thompson) Caudle in Marion County. She married Wesley "Wes" Cain, they later divorced, and he preceded her in death on November 16, 2021. She married Paul Forehand, November of 1978 in Vandalia and he preceded her in death on August 31, 2014.

Along with her husband, Paul Forehand, Mila was preceded in death by her parents.

Mila was the heart and soul of her family. A great confidant to her children and grandchildren who she adored. She was a loyal employee for Owens Brockway, dedicated to a job well done. Mila was an expert seamstress and enjoyed the work of sewing. She was fun, kind and caring while babysitting. Mila loved her flowers and taking good care of her yard. Mila will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2024, at Vernon Cemetery in Vernon. Memorials may be made in Mila's honor to Vernon Cemetery and will be accepted for the family at Macz Funeral Home 234 South Elm St. Centralia, IL 62801. Harold Wesley "Wes" Cain, 87, of Patoka passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Fireside House of Centralia. He was born on October 15, 1934, the son of Harold V. and Marcella E. (Knutt) Cain in Keyesport.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021, at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka with Pastor David Rogers officiating. Friends are welcome to a visitation time from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at noon Monday at the funeral home in Patoka.
