Glen Earl King was born on 18 August 1909 in Middleport, Meigs Co., OH; WW II draft registration, son of Earl L. and Ida E. (Cornwell) King. He married Hazel Marie Roberts, daughter of Orlan Albert Roberts and Ruth Rebecca Robinson, in 1932. Glen Earl King died on 18 December 1993 in Ocala, Marion Co., FL,

Glenn E. King died at Stonegate Nursing Home in Ocala, Fla. Born Aug. 18, 1909, in Rutland, Ohio, to Earl and Ida Mae Cornwell King, he married Hazel M. Roberts in 1932 in Ohio. She died Dec. 24, 1971. He later married Yaba Mae Sherman of Peoria in 1972. She survives.

Two brothers also preceded him in death.

Surviving is one son, Gary E. King of Irbin, Calif.; two stepsons, T.C. Parker of Troy and Steve W. Parker of San Antonio; two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Ruth) Dickerson of Hanna City and Maria Goujon of East Peoria; and two stepdaughters, Mrs. Larry (Barbara) Case of Lacon and Audie Durand of Roseville.

He worked as a machinist at WABCO for many years.

Cremation rites were accorded. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.

HANNA CITY -- Roy A. Dickerson , 65, of 210 N. Second St. died at 6:24 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 1996, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born March 22, 1931, in Green Valley to Burr and Lela Wills Dickerson , he married Ruth D. King on Nov. 28, 1959, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Raymond Burr of Orlando, Fla., and Douglas Roy of East Peoria; four daughters, Becky Manuel of Lake Camelot, Linda Lane of Morton, Kay Wenzel of East Peoria and Dawn Stookey of Effingham; one brother, Donzil "D.J." of Pekin; two sisters, Polly Ball of Pekin and Dode Reinders of East Peoria; 13 grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren. One sister preceded him in death.

He was an insurance salesman for Prudential Insurance Co. in Peoria for 31 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Hanna City United Methodist Church, where he served as a trustee. He also was a member of Timberlake Country Club.

He was a charter member of Hanna City Sportsman's Club and a member of Glasford Masonic Lodge and Farmington Moose Lodge 1571. He was a former member of the Hanna City School Board and was a former councilman for Hanna City. He formerly served on the Logan-Trivoli Volunteer Fire Department.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at his church. The Rev.

Ernstfried Lang will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Anderson Funeral Home in Farmington. Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery in Smithville.

Memorials may be made to his church or to Logan-Trivoli Volunteer Fire Department.

Diana “Kay” Wenzel, age 67, of Metamora, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 at 5:58 p.m. at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. She was born Jan. 15, 1952 in Green Valley, IL to Roy and Donna (Hendershott) Dickerson. They preceded her in death along with her step-mother, Ruth Dickerson, and one son, Ralph “Wayne” Wenzel. Survivors include her lifetime partner, John Casley of Metamora, three daughters: Tami (Kim) Riggenbach of East Peoria, Dora (Fred) Keinath of East Peoria, Jennifer See of Bellevue, 25 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three sisters: Becky (Mike) Manuel of Mapleton, Linda (Ed) Lane of Rolla, MO, Dawn Stookey of Pekin, and two brothers: Burr (Cindy) Dickerson of Orlando, FL, and Doug (Liza) Dickerson of Peoria. SPRING BAY – H. Michael Wenzel, Jr., 44, of rural East Peoria died at 2:08 p.m. Saturday (May 26, 1990) in the emergency room at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born June 27, 1945, in Peoria to Henry Michael Sr. and Gertrude Burchell Wenzel, he married Paula Gruber on July 29, 1973, in Peoria. She died on Sept. 24, 1978. He later married Diane Kay Dickerson on Feb. 23, 1979, in Peoria. She survives.

Ruth Darlene Dickerson, 78, of Peoria, passed away at 8:07 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria County.

Ruth was born in Amesville, OH on September 24, 1933, a daughter of Glenn E. and Hazel M. (Roberts) King. She married Roy Dickerson on November 28, 1959 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one grandson.

When Ruth was young, she lived a very active life. She enjoyed traveling and entertaining listeners on the radio, while playing guitar and singing with her beautiful voice. She and Roy loved entertaining their friends. They both loved golfing and she was a member at Timberlake Golf Club, until her health no longer permitted.

She was formerly employed at WABCO and later, for twenty-four years until her retirement from KL Burgett Co. in Peoria.

Ruth enjoyed playing cards; reading; listening to Big Band and Country music, especially Alan Jackson; collecting miniature shoes; watching the Indianapolis 500 and Chicago Cubs baseball; traveling to Biloxi; going to Gil's Supper Club; and attending family events, especially Thanksgiving, Christmas and reunions.

She was a wonderful grandmother and always loved being with family. She was very fond of her cats - even the most unlovable cats known to man, were safe and well taken care of by her. She was patient, caring and loving.
