Duska Sue Bradshaw, of Hot Springs, Ark., born Feb. 27, 1940, into a parsonage in Illinois, went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2010.

She lived in several states and enjoyed meeting many diverse nationalities and personalities. She was predeceased by her loving parents, the Rev. Willard M. and Bernadine Roberts.

Her survivors include the love of her life, husband Coy D. Bradshaw and her pride and joy, her only son, Trevor Coy Weaver, as well as five grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters. After divorcing Mr. Weaver in Kansas, Duska and Trevor moved to Southern California to be near family.

Duska attended Kansas State in Manhattan, Kan.; Valley College in San Bernardino, Calif.; University of California at San Bernardino; and graduated from Patricia Stevens Career College as a professional model and fashion consultant. Her varied career included (besides many years as a legal assistant) work in banking, insurance, modeling, owner-operator of Girl Friday Secretarial Service, financial adviser for the Division of Urban Renewal Department of Community Development, her association with NASA and Jet Propulsion Laboratories tracking our men in outer space, and her most rewarding position as manager of retirement facilities. She loved hearing and becoming a part of the life stories which included the Armenian Holocaust and escapes from behind the Iron Curtain among many other fascinating histories. Entertaining and assisting the senior citizens with their daily challenges as well as filling in for their absent family members when necessary was an intricate part of the job that was always a pleasure and cheered the residents immeasurably.

The Bradshaws retired to Hot Springs in 2005. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Hot Springs. Duska loved her Lord, her family and friends, music, her extensive travels with her husband, and always reminded us, "The Best is Yet to Come."

Willard Tim Roberts

ARCOLA – Willard Tim Roberts, 67, of Arcola died at 2:30 a.m. Monday (May 24, 2010) at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Thursday at the Edwards Funeral Home with the Rev. James Walker officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

He was born Sept. 10, 1942, in Canton, the son of Willard and Bernadine Kuhns Roberts. He married Wilma Jones in 1987; she survives.

Other survivors include five children, Mark Roberts of Athens, Texas, Sandy Ledbetter of Arcola, Christina Oyler of Chesterville, Brian Ritchie of Tuscola, and Michelle Fredrick of Effingham; one sister, Cossett Abbott of Tuscon, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Roberts was a retired truck driver. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Arcola VFW Post 7862.

Dwight Friend Rudolph

Dwight Friend Rudolph, 79, of Puyallup, passed away June 7, 1993. Mr Rudolph was born on Feb. 7, 1914 in Bartlett, OH and came to Puyallup 53 years ago. Mr. Rudolph was a retired welder from Kaelin Plumbing in Sumner. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #82, Sumner Gun Club, and a member of Phoenix Masonic Lodge #154, Sumner.

Survivors are: his wife of 51 years, Elsa; 1 daughter, Sandra and Tom Irish, Tacoma; 2 sons, Lannie Rudolph, Dannie and Judy Rudolph, all of Sumner; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
