Patricia is survived by daughter, Shanna Channell of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Joy Seguine (Brad) of Hendersonville, NC; grandson, Donovan Lee Channell; Great-grandchildren, Calvin, Sara, and Bubby; and special family, Candie Thompson.

Dr. A. Fred Watts, 85, a prominent Creston physician for 40 years died at 3:45 am this morning this morning at the Greater Community Hospital in Creston after receiving second and third degree burns early Sunday morning.
Survivors include a daugher: Mrs Edward (Anne) Hoag, Fullerton, California, four grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. George (Kay) Connell of Whitby Island, WA.
Dr A. Fred Watts was born near Norton, Kansas on September 28, 1884, moving to Payette, Idaho at the age of 14. On a trip east, he stopped in Des Moines and liked it, deciding at that time to attend medical college.
He received his diploma in 1916, interning in Iowa City. He served as a medic in World War I and came to Creston in 1920, first serving in the hospital and then from his own private office. Outside of four years (1944-1949) when he was in Seattle, WA, he has made his home in Creston. He served as the Creston City Health physician for 35 years, retiring as a physician in 1966. A 50 year member of the Creston City Lodge AF and AM No 522, he was also a member of Al Gabil Chapter, Bethany Commandry, ZA-Ga-ZIG Shrine, American Legion, Past Patron of Eastern Star and past president of the Creston Kiwanis.
From obituary printed in the Monday, August 17, 1970 Omaha World-Herald, p. 28:
Creston, Iowa—Dr. A. Fred Watts, 85, retired Creston physician, died at a hospital here Monday of burns suffered in a fire Sunday at the downtown apartment building where he lived. Authorities said Dr. Watts was found in a hallway filled with flames outside his apartment. Firemen said the blaze, of undetermined cause, was confined to the hallway. A children's clothing store below the apartments sustained some water damage.
He was buried in August 1970 in Graceland Cemetery, Creston, Union Co., IA, Findagrave #17460690.

JOSEPH MICHAEL HOAG Joseph Michael Hoag, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully Monday, September 29 at the age of 58 at home in Chico, CA.
Joe was born on October 26, 1956 to his parents Edward and Anne Hoag in Orange, CA. Joe lived in Southern California during his childhood. He graduated in 1973 from Sunny Hills High School, where he was an avid water polo player. Joe felt at peace at the beach bodysurfing, skiing in Tahoe, as well as listening to music. After graduating high school, Joe moved north with his girlfriend Marilyn Agerholm. They moved to Chico where they attended California State University, Chico. Joe graduated from CSU Chico in 1978 with a degree in History. Learning about the world was a lifelong passion.
Joe married Marilyn Agerholm on January 27, 1979 in Chico, CA. After getting married Joe began his career in building and remodeling homes in Chico and the surrounding area. He dedicated his life to working hard and creating his dreams. Joe was an athlete at heart and loved sports. He especially enjoyed soccer, football, and baseball. He was a lifelong Dodger fan. In addition, Joe was involved with coaching and volunteering for Chico youth sports including soccer, softball, baseball, and Butte United soccer. In which, all three of his children participated. Joe loved spending his time traveling the world with his family. They recently were able to travel to Europe and Alaska. At home he enjoyed spending his time in the company of family, friends, and his dogs and cats.
Joe is survived by his wife Marilyn Hoag of Chico, CA; his son Nick Hoag of Chico, CA; his daughters, Natalie and Katie Hoag of Truckee, CA; and his sisters, Jane Neuharth and Candace Hoag of Olympia, WA.
Please join the family for a celebration of Joe's life, to be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the 5 Mile recreation area in Bidwell Park. Joe passed from Multiple System Atrophy.
