Curtis J. "Curt" Gross, age 63, of West Milton, Ohio, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023. He was born to Larry and Lana Gross on October 3, 1960, in Dayton, Ohio. Curt was a loving and devoted father to Kyle and Daniel Gross and grandfather to James, Huxley and Halston Gross. He was born with a wrench in his hand and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed anything with an engine, everything from race cars to motorcycles. He will be deeply loved and missed by anyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Larry and Lana Gross; and a brother, Jeff Gross. He is survived by: a sister, Theresa (Jon) Gross; a brother, Tony Gross; a sister in-law, Elfie Gross; two sons, Kyle Gross and Daniel (Nicole) Gross; three grandchildren, James Gross, Huxley Gross and Halston Gross; and several other family members, including aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held in honor of Curt on Sunday, December 3, from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Monroe Grange Banquet Hall, 4729 Peters Road, Troy, Ohio.

Gross, Gordon D. Sr. - Age 58 of Vandalia, passed away suddenly Monday, August 30, 1999 at Grandview Hospital. He was an employee of the Lucas Ledex Corp. with 33 years of service and was a US Navy Veteran.

Mr. Gross was a member of the St. Christopher Catholic Church, Amvets Post # 99, ARCO and had coached and been active with the Vandalia Baseball Commission for many years.

He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Gross and one brother, Larry (Joe) Gross.

Gordon is survived by his wife of 30 years, Susan (Osborne) Gross; three sons, Gordon D. Jr. and wife Rebecca Gross of Huber Heights, Christian and wife Amy Gross of Vandalia, and Shawn Gross of Vandalia; his mother, Rosella M. Gross of Dayton; sister-in-law, Lana Gross of West Milton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Irene Osborne Sr. of Elgin, IL; brother-in-law, Richard and wife Gretchen Osborne Jr. of Naperville, IL and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 3 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Vandalia with Fr. Robert Monnin officiating.

Burial Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Morton and Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia on Thursday from 5 to 8 P.M. If so desired contributions may be made to the Little League Baseball Commission c/o Vandalia Parks & Recreation Dept. in Gordon's memory.
