Tom has enjoyed getting back together these last few years with his college friends. Tom made many good memories while at the Credit Union and A.M.P.I., including meeting his wife and all of the Chinese lunches where he was the only male out of a group of women. He then accepted a job at Bank of the Wichitas (All America Bank now) and worked there as a loan officer / Vice-President for twenty-seven years before retiring in 2019 due to health reasons. Tom was special and was loved everywhere he worked.

Early in his bank career Tom volunteered many hours with the Rotary Club working several philanthropic projects, including annual bike races to Tom Steed Lake which promoted Snyder as well as a lot of the Christmas decorating at City Park in Snyder. Also, as a member of First United Methodist Church he enjoyed working activities such as the men's Ground Hog Suppers. Tom also volunteered for several years as a board member of Snyder Senior Citizens and Recap of Hobart, Oklahoma.

In his younger years, Tom enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed attending estate auctions where he made many more friends. Tom liked to take day trips to small towns in Southwest Oklahoma to shop at antique and resale stores, eat out, and look at history in old buildings.

Family was very important to Tom! He enjoyed many trips to Kansas with his uncles. He loved family reunions, cousins' Christmas parties at his sister's, and family times at the farm, including several fish fries sharing all the fish he caught.
