Peggy Jean (Buckley) Steele, 83, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2013 in the company of her family at Beaumont Hospice in Madison Heights, Michigan. She was born in Jackson, Ohio on October 12, 1929. She married Robert D. (Bob) Steele in 1948. They lived in Jackson and other locations in Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois, Florida and Michigan during their marriage.

She attended Jackson City Schools graduating from JHS in the class of 1947.

Donald L. Buckley, Jr, age 84, of Upper Arlington, OH passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. The son of Donald and Helen (Stephenson) Buckley, he was born on October 11, 1936 in Columbus, OH and was raised in Jackson, OH. On June 5, 1965 Don married Julianne (Harris) Buckley in Lancaster, OH and together they shared 56 years.

He is survived by his wife, Julianne; son Jeffrey (Mary), of Buffalo, NY; daughter, Beth (Scott), of Canton, GA; sister, Patricia (Bob), of Circleville, OH; seven grandchildren, Abigail, Kate, Madelyn and Declan of Buffalo, NY and Grace, Matthew and Claire of Canton, GA; nephews,Jeffrey (Chris), of Grove City, OH and Craig (Althea), of Coldwater, MI; nieces, Debbie (Jamie), of Shelby Township, MI and Trishia (Scott), of Circleville, OH.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Helen; infant brother, John; sister, Peggy; and brother-in-law, Bob Steele.

After completing most of his college education at The Ohio State University, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. While in the service, Don completed his education and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He is also a graduate of the University of Wisconsin's Graduate School of Banking.

Don proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years. He was stationed at the Strategic Air Command Headquarters where he served as a Photo Intelligence Interpreter Specialist. He was among the first military personnel to identify Soviet missiles that led to the Cuban Missile Crisis. Upon his discharge from the military, Don returned to Columbus where he worked as a Trade Association Executive until his retirement.

Don was a long-time member of the Upper Arlington Lutheran Church and served in various positions especially an usher team leader and a member of a SALT group. He was also a member of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. Don was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and had season football tickets for 59 years. He also had basketball season tickets. Don will be greatly missed by many friends.

A memorial service will take place at 2:00pm on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, 2300 Lytham Rd, Columbus, OH. A reception will follow the service.

The family would like to thank all of the hospice nurses that took such good care of Don, especially his regular nurse, Meghan.

Patricia Swaim, 84, of Circleville passed away on June 28, 2025 at Berger Hospital surrounded by her family.

The daughter of Donald and Helen (Stephenson) Buckley, she was born on January 9, 1940 in Jackson, Ohio where she was raised. On April 21, 1963 she married Joe Robert Swain (Bob) in Jackson, Ohio and together they shared 62 years together. She was a member of Cross Roads Church of Circleville.

Patricia is survived by her husband Joe (Bob) Swaim; daughter Trishia (Scott) Oberley of Circleville and son Jeff (Chris) Swaim of Grove City; five grandchildren Michael (Tiffany) Oberley, Laura (Christian) Viveros, Sara Oberley, Joel (Kate) Swaim, and Jared Swaim; four great grandchildren Noah Oberly, Marco Harrison, Leah Oberly and Joshua Oberley; sister-in-law Julie Buckley; nephews Craig (Althea) Steele, Jeff (Mary) Buckley of New York, Kevin Swaim of Florida; nieces Debbie (Jamie) Stewart of Michigan, Beth (Scott) Yuschak of Georgia, Kelly (Darrel) Niven of Michigan.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 10-11 a.m. at Wellman Funeral Home, 1455 North Court Street, Circleville, a funeral service will be held after at 11a.m. She will be laid to rest in Jackson, Ohio.
