Kimberly Buckley Stapleton, Bixby resident, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 54. She was born on Saturday, April 4, 1965 to Charles and Neoma Harden Buckley in Oklahoma City.

She grew up in Hennessey, Oklahoma. In 1970, Kimberly moved to Checotah at the age of 5. She attended Checotah Public Schools, graduating in 1983. Kimberly furthered her education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and Connors State College in Warner where she received her Associate Degree in Psychology. Kimberly worked as a Dental Assistant and then went on to Tulsa Community College and obtained an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy working at Hillcrest for 6 ½ years.

On Saturday, May 15, 2010 she married David Stapleton in Eureka Springs, AR.

She loved Facebook, antiquing with her Mother, decorating especially at Christmas, horseback riding and she enjoyed visiting old headstones in many old cemeteries.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rassie and Willie Mae Harden, and Orville and Hazel Buckley; and her brother, Rocky Buckley.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, David Stapleton; step-children, Amber and Wyatt Stapleton of CA; step-grandchildren, Tyler Miller, Landon Williams, and Noah Williams; her parents, Charles and Neoma Buckley of Checotah; and her sister-in-law, Penny Buckley of Cookson. Kimberly is also survived by her nieces, Rebecca Laney and husband Matt of Ft. Gibson, OK and Chandra James of Golden, CO; her great niece, Matyson Laney, and great nephew, Mattix Laney; her brother-in-law, Gary Stapleton of California; her sisters-in-law, Pamela Desantiago and husband Alfred of California, and Cindy Trent and husband Kevin of West Virginia as well as other extended family and a lifetime of friends.

She was buried in May 2019 in Greenlawn Cemetery, Checotah, McIntosh Co., OK, Findagrave #199191616.
