Some later records including Find-A-Grave.com show her maiden name as Halterman, but her Ohio birth and marriage records name her McCune, daughter of Joseph and Martha (Hawk) McCune, born 21 MAY 1883 at Jackson, Jackson County, Ohio. As of the 1900 census of Vinton, Ohio, she was living with her aunt and uncle, Mary and William P. Halterman. Mary (McCune) Halterman was the sisteer of Maude's father. A Mason County, West Virginia marriage record shows that Warren McKinniss married "Maud Halterman" in 1904. Apparently she used her uncle's surname at least once. DLB 2026. He married Marjorie Adelyn Buckley daughter of Jefferson John Buckley and Anna Effie Lambert, on 21 May 1930 in Vinton Co., OH. Owen Joseph McKinniss died on 26 November 1931 in Jackson Co., OH.

Geraldine Alwyn "Ikie" (Addis) McKinniss passed away at her residence, surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, April 9, 2008. She was born on December 10, 1931 in Oak Hill, Ohio, to the late Carl Addis and Mildred (Christian) Addis.

She was a graduate of Oak Hill High School class of 1949. She was an active member of the Coterie Club. She retired in 1999, after 26 years, from the Area Agency on Aging in Rio Grande, OH.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Kenneth Ray Hollback and stepmother, Elizabeth Scott Addis Stadelman. She is survived by four children, Mona (Noel Wisecup) McKinniss of Grove City, Joseph (Marla) McKinniss of Blairsville, GA, Stephanie (Ross) Carter of South Webster, Lisa (Greg Parsley) McKinniss of Galena, grandchildren, Nick Raffensberger, Megan & Matt McFann, Katrina & Jeremy Youngquist, Corey Hollback, Jay McKinniss, Chris McKinniss, Elizabeth Raffensberger, Byron McKinniss. She is also survived by, great grandchildren, Remington Youngquist and Brailon McFann, also, special friend of 65 years, Marilyn Hughes.

Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home, with a celebration of life service at 5 p.m. Burial to follow at the convenience of the family in C.M. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to any charity.
