According to the 1880 census, Philadelphia, Dist. 150, p.481C, Charles was not the biological son of "Perry" Munzinger, but in fact was his stepson. As per 1880, Charles and both his parents were born in Ohio. His mother appears to have been "Perry's" wife. As of 1880, both Perry and Charles gave their occupation as "Engineer". DLB 2012.
