Robert Gent
PEKIN -- Services for Robert Ray Gent, 32, of 1214 Mechanic, who died Thursday when the speedboat he was in struck a submerged wall on the Illinois River here, will be 3 p.m. Monday at Woolsey Funeral Home.
The Rev. John Miller will officiate and burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
Born Aug. 16, 1949, in Pekin, he was a son of Sidney and Evelyn Urish Gent. He formerly was a deputy sheriff at Central City, Colo.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Pekin.
Surviving are his father of Denver, Colo.; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Collins of Pekin; one daughter, Monica Lynn Gent of Pekin; one son, Richard Gent of Pekin; one sister, Mrs. Joy Walker of Peoria and one brother, Jack Dunker of Denver, Colo.
Memorials may be made to the church.
He was buried in August 1982 in Glendale Memorial Gardens, Pekin, Tazewell Co., IL, Findagrave #204021565.
Cause of death: boating accident on Illinois River near Pekn Bridge.
