MRS. LOU WINDLE
OAKDALE, Aug. 22 (Special)-- Funeral services for Mrs. Lou Windle, 72, were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Ardoin chapel here. The Rev. Tom McDaniel officiated. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery.
Mrs. Windle died at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday in a Beaumont Hospital. She was a former resident of Elizabeth and Oakdale.
Survivors include three sons, How and Robert Windle of Buna, Tex., James Windle of Long Beach, Calif., one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Chestnut of Buna, Tex., three brothers Monroe and Louis Sigler of Grant, and John Sigler of Elizabeth; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Howell of Sugartown and Mrs. Minnie Johnson of Groves, Tex., eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was buried in August 1956 in Oakdale Cemetery, Oakdale, Allen Par., LA, Findagrave #7177343.
Cause of death: Bubonic plague.

Survivors include her sons, Edward Chesnutt of Dallas, and Charles W.Chesnutt of Beaumont; daughters, Faye O'Neal, Carolyn Sue Molitor and Ronda Gay Bishop, all of Sulphur; brothers Robert "Dub" Windle of Buna and James "Cotton" Windle of Long Beach, CA; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
