Cora Bell Hollingsworth, 94, Lincoln, widow of Robert, died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday (7-27-11). Born (6-2-17) in Lincoln to Ralph and Elvira (Collins) Whyman. Homemaker. Because of her faith in Jesus Christ she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

Family members include sons, daughters-in-law: Bob and Jan Hollingsworth, Colorado Springs, Colo., Bill and Margaret Hollingsworth, Richardson, Texas, John and Sally Hollingsworth, Lincoln; sister, Elvira Beisner, Lincoln; brother, sister-in-law: Collins and Marion Whyman, Waverly; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, parents, four brothers, four sisters.

Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday (7-30-11) First Baptist Church, 1340 K Street. Pastor Harry Riggs, officiating. Graveside service: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, 6800 South 14th. Please meet at gate 2. Visitation: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday with family greeting friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Roper and Sons, 4300 'O' Street. Age 88, passed away at Brewster Village on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. She was born in Lincoln, NE on July 7, 1922 the daughter of the late Ralph and Elvira (Collins) Whyman. On May 24, 1942 she married Lloyd Powers. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage. Mary was very involved at Memorial Presbyterian Church in Appleton and enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels.

Mary is survived by her children: Margaret Anne "Peggy" (Mike) Aten of North Royalton, OH, Linda Hendersen of Leesburg, FL and Kenneth (Mugs) Powers of Appleton; eight grandchildren including: Kerri (Peter) Olsen and Kurt Powers: 20 great-grandchildren: a brother and two sisters; and Rick Hussey, who was like a second son. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; and many brothers and sisters.

Burial of Mary's cremated remains will occur in Lincoln, NE.
