"Mrs. Charles Whyman died at her home in Adams this morning at 3:15 of heart failure at the age of seventy-three years. Mrs. Whyman had been in poor health for some time, but was feeling unusually well last evening and died in the morning very suddenly, before a physician could be summoned or any assistance called in. She leaves her husband and twelve children, Messrs. F.E., O.H., C.A., V.W., O.H., W.H. and T.H. Whyman, and Mesdames L.O. Clark, J.A. Sumpter, C.C. Coffman, W.C. Gray and Miss Edith Whyman, who are widely known here and over the state. The Whyman family settled in this vicinity in the spring of 1868, and were among the most highly esteemed families of this section. Mrs. Whyman was a lady of culture and refinement and of noble qualities. The news of her death will carry sorrow to a great many devoted friends. The time for the funeral has not yet been definitively determined, but will probably occur on Friday."

Memorial services for Burrel Thomas Windle, 83, of Payette, who died Dec. 22, 1981 at home, were conducted Monday in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Payette by Elder William K. Mansker. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery in Payette, with ritualistic rites by Odd-fellows Lodge No. 22 of Payette.
He was born April 14, 1898 near New Plymouth to Thomas and Elizabeth Windle. He was reared and educated in the Little Willow area near Payette. He served in the U. S. Army during World War 1. He married Elizabeth Mickelson on June 27, 1920 in Payette. They homesteaded in the Little Willow area until they moved to Payette in 1937. He was a thrasher and they harvested crops in Arizona, California, Oregon and Idaho. He retired in 1968. He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Payette, and Oddfellows Lodge No. 22 in Payette for more than 60 years.
He leaves his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Ted (Ellen) Osburn and Dorothy Bowman, all of Payette; 15 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by a son, three sisters, a grandchild, and a great-grandchild.

Services for Elizabeth Catherine Windle, 87, Payette, who died Wednesday, April 27, 1983, were conducted Friday at Riverside Cemetery in Payette by James Cunningham of the Payette church of the Nazarene under the direction of Chapel of the Roses, Payette.
She was born Feb. 21, 1896, in Belgrade, Minn., to Jens and Nelsena Mickelson. She came to Idaho in 1919. She married Burrel T. Windle at Payette, on June 27, 1920. They homesteaded on the Little Willow where they farmed until 1937 when they moved to Payette. They traveled extensively throughout the western states for 12 years before returning to Payette to live, retiring in 1968. He died in December of 1981. She was the oldest, and longest active, member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Payette. She was a member of the Rebekah’s, TOPS, and Dorcus. She will be greatly missed by all whose life she touched.
She is survived by tow daughters, Mrs. Ted (Ellen) Osburn and Mrs. Carl (Dorothy) Bowman, both of Payette; one brother, Harold Mickelson of Everett, Wash.; three sisters, Sina Gissel of Payette, Annie Gissel of Portland, Ore., and Mary Petersen of Perrinton, Mich.; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She also had numerous fostser children. She was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers, one grandchild and one great grandchild.
The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
