WINDLE - In Washoe bottom, on Thurdsay, March 3, 1892, Tryphena, wife of Jacob Windle, aged 55 years.
Mrs. Windle, whose maiden name was Wilcox, was born in Franklin county, Ohio, in 1837, and became the wife of Jacob Windle February 7, 1856. In 1871 they came west to Nebraska, and in 1884 to Idaho, where they have lived ever since, residing for the past eight years in the vicinity of Payette. Eight children were born to them -- five girls and three boys. Of the daughters three are married and two single; of the sons two are married and one single.
The members of the family wish to express through this paper their earnest thankfulness to friends for kind attention during the illness of the deceased and attendance at the funeral.

PIONEER MATRON ANSWERS CALL
Mrs. Addaline Coates, pioneer matron of Payette county, passed away on Monday evening at the Payette Valley Memorial Hospital at the advance(d) age of 91 years.
Deceased was born in McLain county, Ill., Sept. 17, 1857, and in May 1882 accompanied a wagon caravan from Odgen, Utah to Boise. Mrs. Coates was married to the late Daniel B. Coates, on Sept. 17, 1892 and shortly thereafter the couple moved to Payette, which at that time was known as Boomerang and she has resided in this community almost continuously since that time.
Mr. and Mrs. Coates observed their 62nd wedding anniversary shortly prior to the death of the former on Nov. 12, 1942.
Two sisters of the deceased, Mrs. Lulu Eberle, of Payette, and Mrs. Rose Wyman of Spokane, Washington passed away last week.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Clark of Erskine, Alberta, Canada, and Mrs. Rosa Davis of San Jose, Cal.; six sons, George of New Plymouth, and Albert, Earl, Clarence and Howard, all of Payette, and LeRoy of Newberg, Ore.; one sister, Mrs. Josie Young of Redmond, Ore.; 27 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

In the matter of the estate of) Order assigning the whole of estate to the widow
William Windle, Deceased)
Whereas the inventory and appraisement of the property of the estate of the above named decedent has been heretofore duly returned and filed here in and whereas it appeared therefrom that the whole of said estate did not exceed in value the sum of $737.00 and whereas it appeared that the decedent left a widow; and whereas thereupon this court issued is order requiring all persons interested in said estate to appear and show cause why the whole estate should not be assigned to the widow of decedent and said matter coming on regularly for hearing this day, and it appearing that the facts above recited are true, and it being proven that due and legal notice of this proceeding has been given to all persons interested in said estate and no sufficient cause being shown why said property should be so assigned, and it appearing that the expenses of the last illness of deceased, all funeral charges and all expenses of administration are paid:
It is ordered that the whole of the estate of said decedent be assigned to the widow; The said property of said estate is as follows, to wit:
Lot four section four in township eight north range five west of the Boise Meridian in Idaho; one set of harness one mare one old wagon, one old mower, one rake, one cultivator one old horse one old mule.

David B. Coates, 82, Passes Away Last Thursday Morning
Last Sunday residents of Payette county paid homage to the memory of another of her pioneers at the funeral of D. B. Coates, who passed away on Thursday of last week. Rev. E. R. Kaemmer had charge of the service and burial was made in Riverside cemetery under the direction of the Peterson-Foster funeral home.
Six sons of the deceased, George, Albert, Early, Clarence, Howard and Lee Coates acted as pall bearers, and W. A. Crump, Chas. Bolton, Frank Supplee, Robert Thornton and Albert Hobbs, all old time friends of the deceased, were honorary pall bearers.
David Bailey Coates was born Nov. 22, 1859 in Hillsdale county, Mich. He was married Sept. 17, 1882, to Sarah Adeline Windle in Boise, and they moved immediately to Payette to make their home. The couple celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary on Sept. 17, 1942.
Mr. Coates, pioneer of this area, was a member of I. O. O. F. lodge No. 22 since 1890.
His first work in the west was with a Union Pacific railroad construction crew, and he was one of the men who helped lay the tracks through Payette.
Mr. Coates also was an active organizer of the Farmers Co-Operative Creamery, being a former president for 20 years. He also was associated during the years with the Rossi-Ridenbaugh Lumber company, the Payette Equity Exchange, the Federal Land bank and helped organize Riverside cemetery where he was buried Sunday.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Bertha M. Clark in Alberta, Canada; Mrs. Rosa Bell Davis, Vancouver, Wash., and Mrs. Lucy W. Davis, Fruitland; six sons, George, New Plymouth; Albert, Payette; Earl, Payette; Clarence, Payette; Howard, Vancouver, Wash.; Lee Roy, Newberg, Ore., and 27 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
