Note: The only Polly Six found in the 1850 census for Wythe County was the wife of Samuel Six. She was age 49 -- less than a good match to the Polly Six found in 1860, 1870, and 1880, and no George William Six was listed in her household in 1850. (DLB 2005.)

Biography
Burton Dale Wherland was born on 4 March 1955 in Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., MN. He married Deborah Lynn South, daughter of Larry Darrell South and Janice Lee Campbell, on 14 February 1981 in Freeman, Cass Co., MO. Burton Dale Wherland died on 23 October 1983 in Beirut, Lebanon.
He was buried in 1983 in Sharon Cemetery, Drexel, Cass Co., MO.
Cause of death: on 23 October 1983 Terrorist bombing of U.S. Marine Corps barracks.
