MARY LOUISE REDNER, 99, of Battle Creek, died June 11, 2005 at Heritage Assisted Living, Battle Creek. She was born May 11, 1906 to Joseph Hamilton and Mary Louise (Burgderfer) Kennedy in Battle Creek. She graduated from Battle Creek High School in 1922 and received her bachelor's degree from Albion College in 1929. Mary married Keith H. Redner on April 25, 1931. He died Febrary 7, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Martha L. Rader in 2001. Mary lives on in her son, Keith H. (Jane) Redner II of Montague, Michigan; grandchildren, Keith H. Redner III of Kirkland, Washington, Kevin J. Redner of Truckee, California, Kurt S. Redner of Arlington, Tennessee and W. Scott Rader III of Charlottesville, Virginia; and five great granddaughters. Mary was a member of the First Congregational Church, the Battle Creek Country Club and the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She was past president of several organizations in Battle Creek including AAUW, Women's Fellowship at First Congregational Church, the PTA at Fremont School and W. K. Kellogg unior High School, the Campfire board and the local chapters of the Cerebral Palsy board and American Cancer Society. She was also active in Pagans and the Civic Players. She enjoyed playing bridge and baking her specialty, cherry pies. The time and date of a memorial service to take place in August at the Miller Chapel at First Congregational Church will be announced later. Memorial donations may be made to First Congregational Church or Albion College. The family is being served by Shaw Funeral Home. www.shawfuneralhome.com."

Death Came To Mrs. Elsie Bloom Early This Morning
Was Beloved Resident; Survived By Husband Three Children
A beautiful life was peacefully brought to a close last evening at 10:30 when Mrs. Elsie W. Bloom, wife of Earl Bloom at east Columbus street passed away at Antonio hospital where she underwent a serious operation a few days ago.
Mrs. Bloom was born in Cincinnati, Ohio January 1st, 1882 and had lived in this city almost her entire lifetime, during which she endeared herself to numerous friends and acquaintances. Possessing a most pleasant personality and great love for home ties, she was an ideal wife and mother and had won for herself much admiration and esteem. Her sudden death causes the greatest sorrow to a bereaved husband and three young children.
She was a woman of a true christian character and her death has occassioned great sorrow among her many friends whom had held her inhighest esteem.
There are surviving the husband two daughters Julia Marie and Helen one son James. The parents Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin H. Traeger of Ada, one sister Mrs. Edward H. Collins of Montgomery, Ala., one brother Leo of Cleveland. Funeral services will be announced later."
She was buried in March 1918 in St. Mary's Church Cemetery, Kenton, Hardin Co., OH.
