Philip David Simcox, 76, of 85 Broad St., died Tuesday at Freehold Area Hospital. Mr. Simcox was formerly of Englishtown and had lived there for the past four years. He was a carpenter until his retirement in 1960. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Carpenters Union, Local 2250, Red Bank. Surviving are his widow, the former Marjorie Reid, a son, Charles, of Englishtown, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The C.H.T. Clayton and Son Funderal Home, Adelphia, is in charge of arrangements.

Cause of death: myocardial infarction.

Marjorie Perrine Simcox died yesterday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was 83 and lived on Oakland Mills Road. She was a lifelong resident there. Mrs. Simcox, a descendant of early settlers of this area, was a member of Monmouth Courthouse Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Aliah Chapter 211, Order of the Eastern Star. Her husband, Philip D. Simcox, died in 1973. Surviving are a son Charles P. Simcox, with whom she lived, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. The C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia, Howell Twp., is in charge of arrangements.

Hallman of Castro Valley; devoted mother of Jordean Pritchard and Norma McElhatton, both of Castro Valley; loving grandmother of Blair Pritchard, Doreen and Lynda McElhatton, all of Castro Valley; dear aunt of Mr. And Mrs. Walter A. Dewey of Oakland, Howard, Sharon, Laura and Skippy Brown; also survived by cousins, Beth Seat of Orinda, Ruth Mortland of Fremont, Dick Dye, Elva Smith, Bob and Julie Dewey, all of Oakland and many others.
