{ Daughter } Swigart1
F, #88713, b. before 7 August 1820, d. after 1830
Parents
Biography
{ Daughter } Swigart was born before 7 August 1820.
1 She died after 1830.
1
Note: Some online genealogies show this daughter as Julie Ann Swigart, born 1815, married Henry Zepp and lived at Martinsburg, Berkeley County, Virginia (now WV). Given the transportation and communication technology of the early 1830s in Ohio, I doubt this. John and Mary Swigart were settled at Greene County, Ohio by August, 1820, so that is where this child grew up, at least to 1830 when she was still living and with the parents. It is not likely that she would have known a man from Berkeley County, Virginia, nor have settled so far from her parents. The John and Mary Schweigart family found in the 1850 census of Carroll County, Maryland would be a far more likely candidate family for the Julie Ann who married Henry Zepp. But I have no further evidence one way or the other at this date. Joseph Addison Waddell, II
M, #88722, b. 5 November 1877, d. 28 April 1934
Biography
Joseph Addison Waddell, II, was born on 5 November 1877 in Virginia.
1 He married
Eliza W. Little on 18 April 1906 in Monroe Co., MI.
2 He died on 28 April 1934 in Missouri.
He was buried in May 1934 in Rosehill Cemetery and Mausoleum, Chicago, Cook Co., IL, Findagrave #221261889.
Note:
Had at least three wives -- eldest daughter Martha's mother was born in Virginia, second wife Eliza L. was born in Michigan, and in 1930 his third wife of 10 years, Ida J., was born in Canada.
The original Joseph Addison Waddell (1823 - 1914) was the granduncle of our Joseph Addison “Addison” Waddell. Addison's grandfather was Leigh Richmond Waddell and his father was the second Joseph Addison Waddell so I guess that makes our Joseph Addison "Addison" Waddell the third. (Also confirmed by the Pennsylvania Birth Records.)
Note: Joseph Addison Waddell (1823 - 1914) wrote "Annals of Augusta County, Virginia: With Reminiscences illustrative the Vicissitudes of Its."
