Biography

William Henry Grant was born on 16 July 1840 in Ohio per headstone. 1900 census shows 1841.1,2 He married Pauline Wirwahn, daughter of Henry Wirwahn and Elizabeth Shaffer, on 24 April 1871 in Cass Co., IN, Indexed as "Paulona Wearwant" in the Indiana marriage collection, 1800 - 1941, online at ancestry.com, which shows 24 APR 1876 as the date. However, it would appear from the 1900 census that not only her name, but also the year was mis-transcribed, as they indicated 29 years of marriage as of June, 1900. I am deducing that 24 APR 1871 was the actual date. (DLB 2012.)1,2 William Henry Grant died on 12 October 1909.

He was buried in Cline Cemetery, Royal Center, Cass Co., IN, Find A Grave Memorial# 19731395.
