Helen E. Forrest, 96, of Piqua, died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born January 27, 1915, in Shelby County, to the late John and Gertrude (Clawson) Swob. She married James L. Forrest on December 1, 1932 in Piqua; he preceded her in death on August 1, 1975.

Survivors include two daughters, Jean Covault of Piqua and Sharon Weaver of Celina; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and two sisters, Imogene Shawler of Piqua and Doris Kessler of Troy. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Cool; a son, Dale Forrest; and two sons-in-law, Richard Covault and Ed Weaver.

Mrs. Forrest was a member of Union Baptist Church and retired from the Piqua City Schools after many years as a cook at Springcreek School.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 4, at Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home, with Pastor Dale Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Union Baptist Church, 1833 E. Peterson Rd., Troy, OH 45373.

She was buried on 4 August 2011 in Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington, Miami Co., OH, Findagrave #74471839.

LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Rosemary Opphile, 81, of Lake Worth, Fla., passed away on February 22,2010 under the care of Edwinola Hospice House in Dade City, Florida. She was born and raised in Ohio, working at B.V.D. and Copeland Refrigeration before her retirement. Rosemary moved to Florida in 1985 and settled in Lake Worth.

She was a long time member of the Church of the Brethren in Piqua, and First Baptist Church of Lake Worth. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester in 2004.

Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Judy (Donald) Smith of Lutz, Florida, two grandchildren, Ken (Bonita) Smith and Craig (Elisa) Smith. She also leaves to cherish her memory four great-grandchildren: Dawn, Haley, Kailyn and Chloe.

She will be laid to rest with graveside services at 1 p.m. Thursday at Palm Beach Memorial Park, Lantana, Fla.

In lieu of flowers donations, in her memory, may be made to ARC of Palm Beach County.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, Fla.
