Biography
David Douglas Dick was born on 12 October 1955. He married Wanda Clark. He died on 23 February 1978
Obituary (findagrave.com):
A one-car crash on the Hamilton-Madison county line Thursday took the life of a Noblesville man.
David Douglas Dick, 22, 635 Maple Ave., became the first local fatality of 1978 when his southbound vehicle veered out of control on Ind. 37, crossed the northbound lane, ran into a ditch and then smashed into a tree. A dispatcher at the Indiana State Police Post in Pendleton said the vehicle traveled a distance of 110 feet and rolled over twice before the fatal impact occurred. The section of the state highway where the fatal mishap occurred is located about three and a half miles south of Elwood, near Aroma Road, and forms a portion of the eastern boundary of this county. The road's surface was described as snow and ice-covered at the time of the accident.
The victim's body was thrown into the back seat. He was pronounced dead on arrivalaat Riverview Hospital as a result of massive internal injuries sustained in the crash.
A lifetime resident of the county, Mr. Dick was a salesman for Hughes Chevrolet in Elwood. He is the son of Edgar and Phyllis (Wise) Dick. Jr. , of Noblesville. They both survive as does his widow, Mrs. Wanda (Clark) Dick and a daughter, Christine, at home.
Two brothers, Edgar Dick III, Noblesville and Danny Dick, Indianapolis; and two sisters, Peggy Lupear and Diana Lloyd, both of Noblesville, also survive.
He was buried in February 1978 in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Fishers, Hamilton Co., IN, Find A Grave Memorial# 46420602.
