Clytie Grissom, 90, of Scottsville died at 11:30 p.m. April 9, 2008, at The Medical Center. The Allen County native was a retired employee of Washington Overall Manufacturing, the oldest member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church and a member of United Methodist Women and Unionette Homemakers. She was a daughter of the late S.W. Huntsman and Florence Evelyn Tracy Huntsman and the wife of the late Thurman B. Grissom.

She was preceded in death by a son, Thurman "Tooter" Grissom Jr.; two sisters, Lois Cassady and Beulah Morris; and four brothers, Aubrey, Eulan, Lucian and Maxie Huntsman. Funeral is at 3 p.m. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home, with burial in Union Chapel Cemetery. Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Survivors include five sons, Harlin Grissom and his wife, Betty, James Grissom and Gary Grissom and his wife,Vicki, all of Scottsville, Douglas Grissom and his wife, Doris, of Bowling Green and Wendell Grissom and his wife, Roselie, of Leesville, La.; three daughters, Diana McIntire

of Avon, Ind., Brenda Gunnels and her husband, Tommy, and Beverly Holder and her husband,John T., all of Scottsville; a daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Grissom of Indianapolis; a

sister, Emogene Lyles and her husband, Charles, of Scottsville; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; three great-stepgrandchildren; and several

nieces and nephews.

Nephtali Tracy was the son of MIchael G. Tracy (1820-1901/2)and Hannah Elizabeth Eplyn (abt 1818- ??). Michael G. and Hannah went to Farmers Branch, Texas around 1900 with several of the family members. They are apparently buried there. Michael G. is the son of James Tracy and Lydia Randall of Allen County, KY. James and Lydia left Allen Co., KY and settled in Clay Co., Illinois where they are supposedly buried. James Tracy was the son of Michael Tracy, Sr and Hannah from Rowan County, NC. Michael and Hannah settled in Allen Co., KY about 1807.

GREEN, BOBBY, 81, of Louisville, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2011. He served in many areas of education during his career including being the former principal at PRP High School. Bobby was an avid guitar player and a serious baseball fan. He was a member of Watterson Trail Church of Christ, the Harmonic's Group and he served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force. Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edith Lucille Franklin Green. He is survived by his loving son and daughter-in-law, David and Vicki Green; grandchildren, Abigail, Andrew, Benjamin (Monica), Thomas, Rebekah and Nathaniel.

His Celebration of Life Service will be noon on Monday, September 12, 2011 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
