He was a son of the late Joseph Harrison Wimpee and Lilly Creek Wimpee. He was preceded in death by two sons, Joe "Joe Boy" Wimpee and Steve Wimpee.Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Old Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

The Warren County native was a retired employee of Cutler Hammer/Eaton Corp. and a member of Rich Pond Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Barnett Sublett, the late Thelma Sublett Meador and the late Ezra Meador. She was a wife of the late Melvin Young.Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery No. 2. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky or the American Cancer Society.
