8th Man Accused of Burglaries

A county attorney's complaint today accused Frank A. Tempesta, 23, 338 E. Seventeenth street, of burglarizing the home of Harry C. Stanley, 5035 Second avenue S.

Tempesta was the eighth man charged as a result of a roundup of a burglary ring and a "fence" who bought stolen articles from them.

Newspaper article, The Minneapolis Star Tribune, 10 DEC 1978, p.26:

Tax charge conviction against man upheld

Associated Press

The conviction of a New Brighton man on income tax charges has been upheld by a federal appeals court, the U.S. attorney's office said.

Frank A. Tempesta III, 43, was found guilty Nov. 4, 1977, of filing false federal income tax returns for 1971 and 1972. U.S. Attorney Andrew Danielson said Tempesta, owner and operator of Tax Preparation, Inc. based his appeal on five alleged errors, including the denial of a requested jury instruction and new evidence.

The U.S. Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis denied all five of his claims, Danielson said.
