A native of Lancaster County, Va., he was the son of Charles J. Covington II and Bette Jo Covington of Reedville, Va. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard and a realtor with Coldwell Banker in the Hampton Roads Area.

Marilee L. Alcorn, 74, of 4019 N. North St. died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at Methodist Medical Center.
Born June 6, 1925, in Peoria to Walter and Ruby Phillips Loveridge, she married Robert M. Alcorn on June 22, 1948, in Peoria. He survivies.
Also surviving is one daughter, Susan (and Bob) Losby of St. Louis.
She worked for the family business, Loveridge Florist; taught at Central Junior High School in East Peoria until 1960; and served as teacher's aide at Longfellow School in Peoria.
Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
