Taxpayer Drops Dead

George Washington Windle Jr., 63, of 1520 22nd St., died Monday after coroner's deputies said he apparently suffered a heart attack while filling out his income tax papers in his home.

A friend, George Anselma, 18, of 1515 16th St., told police Windle was working at the kitchen table when he suddenly complained of sharp pains in his arm. Windle was pronounced dead on arrival at Sacramento Hospital.

Robert M. Alcorn, 81, of Peoria passed away on Monday, May 15, 2006, at the Lutheran Convalescent Home in St. Louis, Mo.

He was born on April 6, 1925, in Peoria to Howard & Mayme Wendell Alcorn. He married Marilee Loveridge on June 22, 1948, in Peoria. She preceded him in death on May 7, 2000.

Surviving is one daughter, Susan (Bob) Losby of St. Louis.

He was a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force as a navigator of B-17 bombers during World War II.

He worked for Standard Oil Co., U.S. Cold Storage Corp. and for Peoria Plastics Co. as a purchasing manager for 16 years before retiring.

Burial will be at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
