CHARLES WESLEY REID, 65, of the Sugartree Ridge Community, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 24, 2009, at the Highland District Hospital.

He was born Jan. 14, 1944 in Osborn, OH, the son of the late Lloyd and Thelma (Hottinger) Reid.

He was a 1964 graduate of White Oak High School, and was a retired farmer and truck driver.

He is survived by three children, Rick Reid and his wife Pam-Danville, Shelley Reid West and her husband Dewey-Seaman, Brian Reid and his wife Jasmine-Winchester, five grandchildren, Travis Purdin, Ryan Reid, Sarah Reid, Brianna Reid, Reanna Kiley, two great greandchildren, Gracie Purdin and Kylee Marie Purdin, two sisters, Darlene Reid-Rericha of Hillsboro, Blenda Caudill of Sardinia, a step-sister, Debbie DeMarchi of San Jose, CA., a brother-in-law, Lynn (Anita) Berry of Xenia, two sisters-in-law, Ann (Dale) Carter of Adelphia, OH., Debbie (John) Clifton of Lexington, KY., as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Evelyn (Berry) Reid, who died April 23, 2008.

Funeral was at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with burial at the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009.



He was buried in February 2009 in Dunkard Ridge Cemetery, Elmville, Highland Co., OH, Findagrave #50925035.
