Carrollton Senior Citizens and a former Volunteer Tutor at Bishop Leibold School. Mrs. Dooley will be missed by all her friends and former students. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark in 1962. Born October 31, 1928 in London, Ohio, passed away at her home in Frisco, Texas on December 24, 2006 at the age of 78. Mary Ann lived in Miamisburg, Ohio until she retired from Irongate Realtors in 2002 after years of service as a realtor. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 50 years. She was a member of St. Henry Church, a volunteer at Miami Valley Hospital, and past member of W.C. Lioness Club. She is survived by her son, Ron Becker and wife Dru of Lincoln, Nebraska, Rick Becker and his wife Peggy of Waynesville, Ohio; daughters, Coni Dallhamer of Beavercreek, Ohio, Mindy Luzius and husband Phil of Frisco, Texas; ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Theureda (Boots) and Mark L. Dooley; and husband, William E. Becker. Michael Lee Ballard 62, of Franklin died Friday December 9, 2011 at Fort Hamilton Hughes Hospital in Hamilton. He was born in Dayton the son of Charles and Anne (Mullikin) Ballard. Mike worked for 35 years at the Harrison Radiator Plant in Dayton retiring in 2002.

He is survived by his daughters, Sheli Clary, Kelli Noble and Kasey Smithson, 6 grandchildren, Cameron, Alexis, Miranda, Maci, Zoe and Natilee. He also leaves his 2 brothers, Bobby Ballard and Tim Ballard.

Funeral services will be Friday 10:00 am at the Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd. St. Franklin, with Pastor James Cagg officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery. Condolences may be made to the family at www.anderson-fh.com.

Minnie E. Alkire was born in August 1895 in Williamsport, Pickaway Co., OH.1,2 She married Voy Joe Boots, son of Stephen Boots and Anna Buskirk, on 31 August 1925 in Franklin Co., OH, This marriage appears to have broken up by 1940. In the 1940 census, Minnie Boots is listed as married, a domestic servant, but Voy was not listed with her. On his WW II draft registration, Voy gave his sister Theureda Dooley as his emergency contact. No evidence of any children. Minnie E. Alkire died after April 1940.


Note:

Minnie served as an Army nurse during WW I. She is listed on the passenger list of the Heredia as departing St. Nazaire, France on 3 FEB 1919 and arriving at Hoboken, NJ on 25 FEB 1919. Her home address was listed as Chillicothe but 579 East Water Street was actually Williamsport, Ohio.
