Evelyn Jean Carson, age 90, of Leander, Texas, passed away on March 18, 2019.
She was born on April 12, 1928 in Eagle, Colorado, to parents Harold Joseph Rule and Dorothy Estelle Arnold.
She is survived by sons Steven Carson and wife Selaba, Scott Carson and wife Valorie, Stan Carson and wife Marcie, and Richard “Stacey” Carson and wife Jennifer; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Evelyn grew up in the small, rural town of Eagle, Colorado, graduated from high school and subsequently completed two years of college at the University of Colorado. During that time, she met her husband, Harvey, who was attending the University of Wyoming. They fell in love, married, and started their journey together in Wyoming while Harvey completed his civil engineering degree.
After Harvey graduated, his job led them to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where they started their family. Over the next thirty-plus years of family life, Evelyn dedicated herself to being a loving wife and mother to her four sons. Evelyn and Harvey shared their journey as a married couple for 62 years. She enjoyed piano, bridge club, and, most of all, her international travels.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2019 in the chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, Pflugerville, Texas. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am followed with an 11:00 am service. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
She was buried in March 2019 in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Georgetown, Williamson Co., TX, Findagrave #114948336.
