Obituaries -- (Findagrave.com):
P.S. McGriff, widely known Harrison township farmer, died at his home, five miles northwest of Lewisburg, Saturday afternoon, following a heart attack Friday night. He had not been in good health since an operation in June, 1930, which depleted his usual vigor. Hardening of the arteries had also developed and added to his decline in general health. Mr. McGriff was 69 years and one month of age when he succumbed.
Funeral was held Thursday afternoon from the West Sonora U.B. church and was in charge of Rev. J. A. Watson, of Harrisville, Indiana, pastor of the Twin Chapel Congregational Christian church. Burial was made in Roselawn cemetery beside the remains of his first wife, who died 14 years ago.
His immediate survivors are his wife, who was Mrs. Jacob Routzohn, of Verona; one son, Ernest McGriff, of Verona, and one daughter, Mrs. Roy Shields, of Dayton. James McGriff, of the same neighborhood, is a brother and the late Frank McGriff was a brother.
A few years after the death of the first wife, Mr. McGriff left the farm and moved to Dayton where he resided for several years. About three years ago he returned to it, having in the meantime married again.
Mrs. McGriff is the mother of Adolph Routzohn and Mrs. Blake Smith, of Verona, and Mrs. Eli Walker, of Brookville.

Obituary
Patrick S. McGriff
Trusting in our Lord and Master, we have hope the vacancy caused in our home by taking from us one we had learned to lova as a father and husband, may be filled by blessings such as those bestored by him while living, and that he be reqarded a home of peace by the Master; we are again reminded that at a time when we least expect it the reaper thrust his sickle taking the life of Patrick Sylvester McGriff, who was born October 28, 1862. He was the youngest child of Patick S. and Ann McGriff and the third child called to meet his Master.
On January 14, 1882 he was married to Laura Studebaker with whom he lived happily until February 13, 1918, when her work was finished here and she left us to await our coming later.
On February 21, 1825 he was united in marriage to Alice Routzohn who helped him to battle the troubles of this life during an illness of almost four years which terminated in his peacefully falling asleep at one o'clock Saturday noon, November 28, 1931, at the age of 69 years and one month.
He was a good husband and father and why we could not keep him longer we do not understand but we are sure he will always be remembered by the people of the community because of the good deeds he had done.
Those realizing their loss is his gain are his wife, Alice; one daughter, Edna Shields, of Dayton, Ohio; one son, Ernest, of Verona, Ohio; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, James, of West Sonora; two step daughters; one step son; two step grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Our life is like a summer's day,
It seems so quickly past;
Youth in the morning bright and gay;
And if 'tis spent in wisdon's way,
We meet old age without dismay,
And death is sweet at last.
---
The family wishes to thank all who so willingly assisted during the sickness, death, and burial of our husband and father.
Wife and Children.

Obituary -- (Findagrave.com):
Amanda Wolf was born daughter of Daniel and Carolina Ann (Bantz) Wolf. She was the seventh child of a family of twelve children; her siblings being: Jacob Wolf, Gideon Wolf, Daniel Wolf, Jr., Elizabeth Wolf, Sarah Jane Wolf, William Wolf, Mary Caroline Wolf, Franklin H. Wolf, Levi Wolf, Margaret Caroline Wolf, and John Dee Wolf. Upon her mother's death, her father remarried, to Mary Baker, providing the following half siblings: Nancy Measury Wolf, Rachele Ellen Wolf, Christian Wolf, and Curtis Wolf.
She lived at the place of her birth until May 2, 1861, when she was united in marriage to George W. Gebhart by Elder H. Surface, at Preble County, Ohio. The young couple began their new life on a farm where three children were born to bless the home, Leonodus Gebhart, Mary Jane Gebhart, and Orange Gebhart. Being a member of a large family, it became necessary for her, while young, to cope with the problems and duties of life that were presented to the people of that early day, thus making her a good farm wife. The results of their industry and economy could be an object lesson to the young and active of today.
The family chain was first broken when son, Leonadus died on April 1, 1890, at the age of 27 years, 7 months, and 21 days, and again when the messenger of death came to call her husband of 63 years away to the spirit world. Since then, until last June, she had lived alone. Since June 1929, due to her advanced age, and declining health, she had lived with her children.
Amanda died, at the age of 87 years and 7 days, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Mary Jane) McCrate, northeast of West Manchester, where she had been cared for since December, 1929. Death was caused by dropsy and other conditions incident to old age. However, her death was hastened by a fall she sustained several weeks prior to her death. Her body was laid to rest beside her husband's, on Sunday, February 16, 1930. Funeral service took place at the home of her son, Orange Gebhart, officiated by Rev. Albert Beachler of West Sonora. Besides the son and daughter, she was survived by the widowed wife of her first son, Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth "Kate" (Locke) Gebhart Worman; grandchildren: Roy Gebhart, Frank Gebhart, Ada McCrate, Oscar Evans Gebhart, Holly Gebhart, Ralph Gebhart, David Gebhart, and Helen Gebhart; eight great grandchildren; a brother, John Wolf; one sister, Kate Warwick; and a host of other relatives, friends, and neighbors.
