Barnesville Enterprise, May 26, 1977. The Rev. William Worcester officiated at services for William T. Dyer Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home. Mr. Dyer, 71, a resident of 203 Vine Street, died Monday, May 23, 1977 in Barnesville Hospital. Burial was made in Gibson Chapel Cemetery.

Born in Barnesville, March 17, 1906, Mr. Dyer was the son of Webster and Cynthia Jones Dyer. He was a member of Barnesville Moose Lodge No 1304. He was a retired road foreman for Warren Township.

He leaves his wife, Bernice Miller Dyer of the home; four sons: Charles of Santee, Calif.; James and William of Minerva; and Robert of Canton; three daughters, Mrs. Vallas (Helen) Carpenter, Mrs. Charles (Peggy) Carpenter and Mrs. John (Connie) Skinner, all of Barnesville; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Mrs. Tom (Velma) Burkhart in 1975, also six sisters and four brothers.

(William was the youngest of 11 siblings and the last to die.)

He was buried in May 1977 in Gibson Chapel Cemetery, Barnesville, Belmont Co., OH, Findagrave #93773943.

BARNESVILLE Berenice G. Bea Dyer, 100, of Barnesville, died Saturday (Nov. 12, 2005) at Barnesville Health Care Center. She was born May 23, 1905, in Harrietsville, daughter of the late Thomas M. and Cleo (Cantwell) Miller. She was a 1923 graduate of Elk Rural High School near Stafford.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Dyer, on May 23, 1977; three sons, Jim, Pat and Bob Dyer; a daughter, Velma Burkhart; four brothers, Glenn, Vernon, Rays and Bill Miller; two sisters, Irene Steen and Minnie Steen.

Mrs. Dyer leaves a son, Thomas (Peggy) Dyer of Santee, Calif; three daughters, Helen (Vallas) Carpenter, Peggy Carpenter and Connie (John) Skinner, all of Barnesville; a sister, Della Helms of Rittman; 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, Barnesville, where service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Ed Eberhart officiating. Burial will follow in Gibsons Chapel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Barnesville First Christian Church.

QUAKER CITY -- Eleanor L. Carpenter, 67, of Quaker City, died Saturday, Sept. 25, at Barnesville Hospital.

She was born July 10, 1915, in Noble County, a daughter of Pearl Starr Carpenter of Quaker City Route 1 and the late Calvin Carpenter.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Surviving in addition to her mother, are her husband, Denver; three sons, Charles of Barnesville, Gary of Wilmington and Mickey of Quaker City; a daughter, Connie Carpenter of the home; four brothers, Ellis, Wesley and Jimmy Carpenter, all of Barnesville and Lawrence Carpenter of Lebanon, Pa.; three sisters, Edith Stephen of Winterset, Lucille Huntsman of Barnesville and Norma Stephen of Boston.
