Carpenter, Calvin Carpenter
Calvin Carpenter, 91, of Quaker City, Route 4, a retired farmer, died Wednesday evening, August 7, 1974, at seven o'clock, in Barnesville Hospital.
He was born in Noble County, July 8, 1883, the son of James and Mary Carpenter.
Mr. Carpenter attended the Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Pearl Starr Carpenter; four daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Edith) Stephen, of Winterset; Mrs. Denver (Eleanor) Carpenter, of Quaker City, Route 4; Mrs. Paul (Lucille) Huntsman, of Barnesville, and Mrs. Donald (Norma Lee) Stephens, of Jerusalem, Route 1; four sons, Ellis, Wesley and Jimmie Carpenter, of Barnesville, and Lawrence Carpenter, of Lebanon, Pa.; twenty-four grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; six sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the Campbell Plumly Funeral Home at Barnesville, with Evangelist James Gallagher officiating. Burial was in Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville.
He was buried in August 1974 in Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, Belmont Co., OH, Findagrave #133245405.

BARNESVILLE --- Ellis W. Carpenter, 86, of Barnesville, died Thursday (Dec. 3, 1998) at Wheeling Hospital, W.Va.
He was born Oct. 16, 1912, in Noble County, son of the late Calvin and Pearl Starr Carpenter.
Mr. Carpenter was a retired employee of the Village of Barnesville Street Department.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley Carpenter; three sisters, Edith Stephens, Eleanor Carpenter and Norma Lee Stephens.
Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville.
