John Henry Hammitt, 62, died at the Holston Valley Community Hospital, Sunday, of injuries received when he fell from a barn loft last Tuesday. He was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and was a farmer most of his life. He resided at Route 2, Fordtown.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Millie Kitzmiller of Fordtown and Mrs. Mable Lang of Taft, Calif.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Beulah Baptist Church by the Rev. G. W. Slaughter. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.



He was buried in November 1950 in Beulah Community Cemetery, Kingsport, Sullivan Co., TN, Findagrave #66346531.
