Mr. Burdette, who was 30 years old, was born in Baltimore. Before coming to Pittsburgh he was one of the secretaries of the Philadelphia Y.M.C.A. His father, the Rev. L. B. Burdette, was one of the leading ministers of the Methodist Protestant Church in Maryland.
Mr. Burdette leaves his mother, his wife, Mrs. Adeline G. Burdette, and one child. Mr. Burdette was a member of the Christ Methodist Episcopal Church and was a leader in the Sabbath school and young peoples work of the church.
